i eat a primarily vegetarian diet and was experiencing discomfort whenever i ate my heavier foods first and then fruit for dessert, which surprised me because i’m not eating meat and i’m light on the dairy. i saw this video about 2 weeks ago (i know it’s older, but i only recently discovered “raw radiant health”) and i’ve been following the advice in it since. i am so happy with how much better and lighter i now feel after eating a meal! thank you for the information!

@livingawesome I think protein and fat are from what I have read. However, I am also wondering about starch and fat. I’ve stayed away from this combo but would be interested in knowing.

My favorite meal recently for one that is meat based is grinding up chicken with spinach, spices (garlic, onion powder, chili powder, cumin), ACV, and tamari. Then after cooking I mix in fresh salsa and a little hummus and mix it up. Then, I put it on top of cut up nori. I hate salads so this is a way of getting in greens and getting fiber in with meat. It is so good!

@TheDeviantGamer 70% of the calories in cheese come from fat.

@mrrrbt How are you doing with your weight training? I’ve gone raw for health reasons but I hate the weight loss.

Aigh. So much to learn! I realize this is an older vid but I’m starting there and working toward the newer ones. This vid made me SO paranoid! I just ate a tomatoe and spinach leaf sandwich on 100% whole wheat bread. If the goal is to eat in “layers,” what do thins like wraps, sandwiches, etc do to you? Are they bad?

  9. livingawesome says:

Is starch and fat good combination? And is fat and protein good combination? :p

    you look really pretty

Mixing veggies with fruit in a smoothie is an easy way for me to eat my greens.
I also weight train so i need my protein.

Is it ok to combine whey protein ( its digested quickly) in my smoothie.
Thanks to anyone who can answer

  12. mrrrbt says:

Good info, thank you : )

Never thought about food combinations before so this looks excellent. However, I am in training in the gym and on the bike and I currently eat 4-5 meals a day. I do mix proteins and carbs at the moment but i’ll try separating them now. However when you say separate meals how long (approx) do you give between meals to be separate?

  14. fourseventeenx3 says:

your right this is complicated. but your vid’s really informative. i’ve been meaning to find out about food combining for awhile so thanx for uploading.

@RawRadiantHealth Cheese is a protein, not fat.

@TheRogueMonk Meat is not “less live food” its the remains of a dead animal carcass. Once the animal is dead, the meat is dead to. Vegetables take time to die when harvested, when they begin to wilt then there dying. And do you really think cooking a steak will not kill that food? even if meat was alive raw its dead after cooking it, just like vegetables are dead after cooking.

  17. TheDeviantGamer says:

@TheRogueMonk If your still hungry then eat more fruits. save vegetables for after 12. Eggs are not going to satisfy anything but you taste buds. If your used to eating meat and dairy, then you dont feel right when eating light. Everything you just said is devoid of common sence. You dont need eggs to fill you up, as i havent eaten dairy or meat for 5 years.

  18. TheDeviantGamer says:

@TheRogueMonk Carbs are sugars, lmao. The only fuel the body can use is glucose, all sugars must be broken down to this. That refined white sugar you put in your cofee cannot be broken down to glucose, thats why its not good for you.

  19. TheDeviantGamer says:

@vad7771 Raw tomato is fine, when cooked it becomes acidic. People get confused on food combining when it comes to acidic fruit. Even the most acidic fruit such as a lemon or lime is alkaline in the body, Cooking changes this. thats jsut one of the reasons people experiance better results with raw foods.

  20. TheDeviantGamer says:

The simplest way to understand why carbs and proteins dont mix is that protein requres an acid base digestive juice and carbs need an alkaline base, if you paid attension in chemistry then you know that when an acid comes into contact with a base(alkaline) they neutralize each other so very little digestion is done.

  21. SummerLynnJohnson says:

Thanks so much, love learning about food and you do make things very simple to understand :)

  22. vad7771 says:

Aynone know if like pasta and tomato is a good or bad combination.

  23. MyOwnStickFigure says:

This is an area I have put a lot of time and research into. I wanted to compliment you on how well you touched on this topic. You touched every literal key point and added a few extra really good ones in. Great job Natasha. I especially love your input on stomach layering – SO TRUE! Things will ferment in there! Meat and dairy = the worst, on top of animal abuse. Food combo charts help. The more simple the better – that is why awhile back I stopped all complicated and gourmet raw and went SIMPLE.

  24. TheRogueMonk says:

and you cant have your body work without hte fuel carbs and sugars give you.

  25. TheRogueMonk says:

you need carbs with your food , i have no problem doing it, also i eat wholegrain wich itself should have good fibers.
I am afraid to not eat the carb with the meat since i want everything to export to the body as best as possible.
